Who We Are

Founded in 2016 as a spin-off from the Optoelectronics Research Centre at Tampere University of Technology – the heart of Finland’s photonics industry – Ampliconyx is a pioneer in ultrafast fiber laser technology. The company was founded by Dr. Valery Filippov and Prof. Yuriy Chamorovskiy, who invented and patented the groundbreaking Tapered Double-Clad Fiber (T-DCF) technology after a decade of dedicated research.

What Makes Us Different

Ampliconyx is the only company worldwide offering fiber-based amplifier modules and laser systems spanning from kW to MW peak powers. Our proprietary T-DCF technology enables single-mode beam quality in large-core fibers, overcoming the fundamental power limitations of conventional fiber lasers. As a result, our lasers and amplifiers deliver unmatched peak power scalability, reduced nonlinear effects, and exceptional performance for ultrafast laser and amplifier applications.

We develop both ready-to-use, high-performance all-fiber gain modules and fully customized solutions, tailored to the precise requirements of industrial, medical, and scientific applications.
